Weather Dampens Photography Spirit

So, it’s been a couple days since I’ve gotten a chance to go outside and snap some shots. The weather in NYC this weekend was horrendous. While snow is bad enough, this freezing rain and drizzle is even worse. As I write this post I’m standing at the bitter cold Hicksville LIRR train stop waiting for a delayed train to Penn station. I don’t have my camera with me and even if I did I wouldn’t use it. The despair on the faces around me coupled with the drab grey sky could serve no appealing artistic purpose, except maybe a great ad for site to site teleportation… Just picture it, the photo shows this scene, despair in the eyes of would be passengers standing at this rain drenched platform, scrolling notices of delay displayed in faded yellow on decrepit 70’s era LED signs. In bold 50’s style propaganda font the ad states, “Teleportation: The only way to travel!” and in subtext it implicates the technophobic with, “Loyal citizens teleport to save the earth.”
